The Hasselt-based company ERA Advanced has presented its second-generation electric race car to a select group of clients, investors, and motorsport professionals. The unveiling took place during a private event and marks an important step for the Limburg technology company, which is targeting the international motorsport market with its latest vehicle.
The Gen 2 car was developed entirely in-house. Every system was re-evaluated with one goal: to build an electric race car with unmatched performance, accessible to a broad audience and easy to maintain.
Proprietary technology as a key strength: battery, LVDN system, and AI
One of the strongest features of the Gen 2 is its fully in-house developed battery. Because ERA Advanced builds the battery itself, different sizes can be offered depending on the application and customer requirements. This flexibility is unique in the sector and gives the company a clear competitive edge.
In addition, ERA Advanced introduces its LVDN system, a Low Voltage Data Network operating at 48 volts. This fully software-defined system enables smarter, lighter, and safer onboard data transfer. Like the battery, this system was also developed entirely by the internal team, underlining the company’s technological ambition.
A third innovation is the integrated AI system that connects the driver, the car, and the engineer in real time. Data continuously flows to all parties involved, enabling faster decision-making and elevating collaboration between driver and technical team.

ERA Racing School, a long-standing client of ERA Advanced, shared its experience after years of intensive use of the electric race cars. Xavier Maassen highlighted the low operational costs and exceptional ease of use.
