The ERA Racing School is a fact! On 8 th July the brand-new initiative emanating from entrepreneur Jos Stevens and the experienced racing driver Xavier Maassen saw the light of day, with Maassen taking on the role of manager. The ERA Racing School is a classic racing school, with an eye to the future, as it incorporates the brand-new and ground breaking ERA single-seaters that among others are active in meetings of the FIA ETCR, the World Championship for electric Touring Cars. With Xavier Maassen’s expertise the ERA Racing School aims to train the champions of tomorrow, but also to steer the ardent motorsport enthusiasts in their first steps on the track, while companies can also enjoy tailor-made activities. Not only does the ERA Racing School work closely with the ERA Championship, but also with Circuit Zolder, where the training courses are held.

Jos Stevens and Xavier Maassen joined forces to set up a true Racing School, something that was common in the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s, but of which today in Europe there are but few similar initiatives.

The ERA Racing School is a completely new, but nonetheless classic Racing School”, the twofold Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux champion explained. “The fully electric F4 emanating from the ERA Championship will be driven, a car that for young drivers represents the bridge between today’s classic racing and tomorrow’s motorsport. The car is in itself a classic single-seater, but with a fully electric drive. The training of young talents taking their first steps in the motorsport world will in no way be different because of this electric drive, but they will be introduced to what motorsport could certainly look like in the future.”

ERA Racing School represents qualitative race training thanks to manager Xavier Maassen’s 20 long years of experience, and who still holds the lap record for electric cars at Circuit Zolder.

Together with Circuit Zolder and the ERA Championship the ERA Racing School offers a solid programme with race training, driving experiences and corporate events, so it’s not only focused on the young lions from the karting world”, Maassen added. “We are aiming at a wide group of people with a passion for cars and motorsport, who want to improve themselves at whatever level.”

The activities kick-off immediately following the launch and run throughout the entire season. Six ERA single-eaters await the clients, with the prospect of extending it to ten cars.
