- Software AG ERA Championship makes history at Circuit Zolder as the world's first all-electric junior formula race takes place
- 17 year old driver Cameron Hawes from Isle of Man is inaugural race winner
- Race was closely contested with just 55 thousandths of a second between first and second place

The world’s first all-electric junior formula racing series made history today at home track, Circuit Zolder, by holding its first ever race.

A closely fought inaugural race saw Cameron Hawes (France) and Milan de Laet in a near-photo finish, with Hawes just sustaining the lead and storming to victory in Belgium. Dutch driver Bob Stevens drove strong and consistently to a 3rd place, whilst polesitter Ellis Spiezia (United States) placed 4th after struggling with reduced power on the last lap, despite fiercely dominating large portions of the race in a series of intense battles for the lead with Hawes.

Michelangelo Amendola (Belgium) started from the pitlane, but took the fastest lap time of the race, eagerly catching up to the back of the pack, with Christiaan Spelmans (Belgium) rounding up the results. Richard Morris (United Kingdom) unfortunately suffered a technical issue during the formation lap and was unable to start the race.
